A trimmed piece of patriotic Civil War stationery titled "Review of the Army." It features portraits of President Abraham Lincoln and General George B. McClellan and is marked as having been produced by famed lithographer Charles Magnus of New York. The letter was trimmed to save only the decorative portion, which measures about 5" x 3 1/2" and is mounted to another piece of period paper. At the bottom of the piece we see that the original letter was written September 5, 1862 by a member of the 113th Regiment at Fort DeRussy near Washington.
