Features in this CDV images is Union General Winfield Scott Hancock, most famous for holding the center at Gettysburg, where he was severely wounded as commander of the 2nd Corps. Hancock appears in a 3/4 standing view. On the reverse is the backmark of E. & H. T. Anthony of New York. The bottom corners of the mount are trimmed. Overall size is about 2 1/2” x 4”.
